Hi my name is Nicola and I am from Dublin and LOVE all kinds of music. I began playing the violin at the age of 9 and from then on was hooked! I joined my local church folk group at 13 playing violin. I was also leader of my school orchestra and a member of the Dublin Youth Orchestra and played in many concerts including in the National Concert Hall and even travelled to Disneyland Paris to perform.
After leaving school I went on to study music in university and gained a BMUS degree from NUI Maynooth. While studying there I sang in the college choir, played piano and began teaching violin to children and also became the musical director of the childrens folk group I was once a member of myself.
After having my 2nd child I left the music groups and job in the bank to stay at home full time with my children. After having my 3rd child I decided it was time to get back to music. I joined a choir, and trained to become a Kindermusik teacher in 2013. In 2015 i was appointed musical director of the Oblate Gospel Choir. I joined the County Kildare Orchestra in 2017 and was appointed leader in 2018. Now a busy mother to 3 children ages 13, 10 and 7, I love singing and playing music with them and see the joy they get from participating in music classes, orchestras and marching bands. I would love for you and your child to join me and share Kindermusik and all its benefits with your child too.
I am Garda Vetted and have undertaken a CYC Child Protection Course.
